JG's introduction to the following four meditations

JG introduces the four following meditations below, which were originally created for the Mental Health Ireland Farming Resilience programme. Though they were designed with farmers in mind, anybody can do them. They are suitable for any age and any level.

1. Breathing Meditation with JG Murphy

Enjoy a 2 minute guided breathing meditation, a meditation that helps you tune in with yourself feeling calmer, more relaxed and clear minded. Suitable for any level and can be done any time of the day.

2. Body Scan with JG Murphy
|
This 5 minute body scan is designed to help remove any tensions that we consciously or unconsciously hold in our muscles. You will feel loose and light in your body after this meditation. Suitable for any level.

3. Nature Meditation with JG Murphy
|
This 2 minute guided nature meditation is best done outdoors ideally in the surrounds of nature near you - it could be a spot in your garden, a park or during a walk. It helps you tune into the nature around you leaving you feel peaceful and connected to your own inner nature.

4. Letting your frustrations go with JG Murphy
|
This 2 minute meditation is a simple technique that helps us to get rid of any frustrations we might be feeling. It is best done alone and in the quiet surrounds of the outdoors. This was written with farmers in mind who have open fields to themselves. The idea of the stone is that it can be thrown far away, not to be picked up again but you could use a twig or a scrunched up piece of paper instead.
